Why this site exist?
This site exist to document my journey digitally. I was previously writing in a notebook however my handwriting was buns and hard to make out when looking back. I find it nice to look back every once in a while to see what I have completed and how I have changed. I feel that having this site will push me to write out my thoughts more often when compared to the painful notebook process.
The Stack
I hate web development, I just find it boring and if it were up to me I would just use HTML/CSS and vanilla JS and just deal with the absolutely abysmal developer experience that comes with it. However I chose Elysia and Bun because it is part of a trial run I am doing with web frameworks. I am also trying out Phoenix but I have come to the realization that it is tough to compare the two because the sites I am building are on the smaller side, a blog/personal site and a static documentation site.
I think Elysia is nice but I feel that as I need to lean on more battery included features, Phoenix becomes the better choice. Thats not at fault of Elysia, it is just Phoenix has more maturity. Building a site with the Elysia/Bun stack is very easy and close to the vanilla way I know. The only tedious part in this stack was having to dust off my JS/TS knowledge (barely any to begin with) but that is not at the fault of Elysia. I have not really used any Elysia features yet but plan to add more to the site later on while exploring Elysia.

This site is just meant for me to look back at things I have completed throughout my journey and see how my thinking has changed. I could not care less if anyone actually reads this.
